I am an American that is not afraid to speak my mind. I don’t need an organization to tell me what to say or when to say it. Our constitution gives me this right based on the first amendment and no president, or representative from either party can deny me these rights. I am against the idea of socialism. I am against the current ideas for changes to our health care. I am against the cap and trade legislation. The way our government is spending money is outrageous and cannot be tolerated. The idea of Americans rising up against the politicians in government is the only way we can let our voices be heard. This does not make us a mob or un-American, this is our RIGHT.
Out of 435 representatives and 100 senators only 39% will be holding town halls. This legislation affects all of us and our futures. If the health care plan passes in any of the forms being suggested, it will not be easy or even possible to remove the changes. Health care needs some reform, but not the whole system. Use the example tried from some states that already use a health care plan and learn from the mistakes that have been made. Go slow and steady.
Why are politicians going out of their way to demean Senior Citizens? Are we not a worthwhile group of people? Oh, I know, we don’t give enough to society, so we are no longer needed. Most of these politicians are seniors themselves, but they have their own health care program, so why should they care. They don’t know what they are talking about so why should they think we are any different then they are? Because we CARE.
We elected these people to do our bidding, not the other way around. They work for us and they owe us to be diligent, hard working and conscientious. They appear to be none of the above. We pay them to listen to us and vote on bills as the majority wishes. They don’t even bother to READ THE BILLS. Write bills so they can be understood or are they trying to hide behind words? Make the bills clear and concise with no earmarks or other agendas!
We Americans love our country, so why do you President Obama or you 111th Congress want to destroy our great country? Wake up Americans before it is too late!!!
