Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck was born in November, 1964 and now lives in Canaan Connecticut with his wife and four children.  He has two children from his first marriage and two from his present marriage. 

He started his radio career as a host for Christian radio on Saturday’s, rock on Sunday’s and country on weeknights.  In his 20’s he co-hosted a radio show at a top 40’s radio station in Connecticut.  In 2000 he moved to Tampa, Florida and aired the Glenn Beck Program.  He took his afternoon time slot from eighteenth place to first within a year.  In 2002 he launched a show nationwide on 47 stations and in May 2008 his show was reaching 280 terrestrial stations as well as XM Satellite.   His radio show ranked 4^th in the nation with over six and a half million listeners.

His 9/12 project is a campaign bases on nine principles and twelve values that he feels embodies the spirit of the American people on the day after 9/11.  The values include honesty, reverence, hope, thrift, charity, sincerity, humility, hard work, moderation, courage, personal responsibility and gratitude.  His nine principles are:

  America is Good

  I believe in God and he is the Center of my Life

  I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday

  The family is sacred

  If you break the law you pay the penalty

  I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal                                     

  results

  I work hard for what I have and I will share it with whom I want to

  It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion

  The government works for me.  I do not answer to them, they answer to me

These are important values and principles to live by.
