Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity was born in Franklin Square, New York in 1961.  After he graduated from High School is worked as a general contractor and a bartender.  He has lived in several different states during his career.  He decided to pursue a radio career in 1989.  His first radio show was short and not very good.  His second radio station fired him after one year because of his remarks against gays and lesbians.  The station reversed his dismissal but he declined to return.  In 1992 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and started at WGST.  In 1993 he married Jill Rhodes and they have two children.

In 1996 Fox News hired him to co-host a television show.  He was paired with Alan Colmes and the show Hannity and Colmes began.  It was a political show with Hannity giving the conservative viewpoint and Colmes the liberal viewpoint.  He continued in his radio career and is considered number 2 of radio show talk-hosts. 

In 2007, he started another television show on Fox called “Hannity’s America”.  Both of his shows are considered among the top in new programming.  In 2008, Colmes decided to leave the show and it is now called Hannity.  Between his radio contracts and his television contracts he is making over $125 million over five years.

He has written two books, one reaching #1 on the New York Best Selling List and stayed there for five weeks.  He has received several awards through the years including the Marconi award in 2003 and 2007 and the National Talk Show Host of the Year Award for three years in a row.  Each year he has promoted a Freedom Concert to benefit the children of veterans killed or disabled in military action.

He also runs a dating service called Hannidate for single conservatives who want to meet someone with similar ideas.
