Olga's Kitchen

What is Olga”s Kitchen.  It is a wonderful restaurant that serves sandwiches made with a combination of beef and lamb topped with onions and tomatoes and special sauce.  It is served on homemade secret recipe bread that is just great.  You can also get it with melted cheese.  Their Olga’s salads are really good too.  It is the dressing that makes the salad so good. 

Olga’s was started in 1970 by Olga Loizon in Birmingham, Michigan.  The restaurant has several locations in Michigan as well as two other states and two countries.    They have stayed a relatively small company that maintains its good quality and service.  I wish they would open some restaurants in Arizona because I love these sandwiches.  I would enjoy trying some of their other items but since I don’t get there often I am stuck on the original Olga’s.

Other items on the menu include french fries, spinach pie, various soups, fresh salads and their signature beverage, the Orange Cream Cooler.  They have expanded their menu to include several different kinds of sandwiches all served on their homemade bread.  Several salads including the new chicken salad sounds very good.  It has chicken, Granny Smith apples, candied pecans, tomatoes, feta cheese, lettuce, and dried cranberries topped with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.  I can’t wait to try it. 

Olga’s have services for dining-in, take out, on-line ordering and curb-side service depending on the location.  They do have private rooms to accommodate groups or parties of over ten.
