It seems lately that the National Football League is synonymous with the Jay Cutler story. Every time you turn on the news or read an article about the NFL, there is usually mention about Cutler. Like all things, in time, it will pass. The Bears and Broncos recently pulled off a trade for their top quarterbacks. Kyle Orton, along with this years first pick (18) and third pick (84), as well as first round next year, will go to Denver. In return, Chicago gets Cutler and fifth round pick.
Michael Vick was in bankruptcy court yesterday. As a condition of his release, he must complete his restitution to the parties involved. The ex-Atlanta Falcon hopes to return to the NFL this season after his possible release in July.
The Arizona Cardinals have acquired Dan Kreider for at least one year. They obtained him as a full back from the St. Louis Rams, but he is more known by his new Cards coach as a former Steeler. The two were together in Pittsburgh for most of their career.
Cleveland wide receiver was in Miami-Dade court recently to face the charges on his DUI, which resulted in death of pedestrian on March 14, 2009. The charges are serious (DUI manslaughter) and could effect his spot on the Browns roster. He is a seven year veteran with the team. He plans to do mini workouts with the team and hopes to continue to prepare for the upcoming season, but the outcome of his off the field situation will most definitely impact that.
