Medical books can be for all ages. There can be children’s medical books, teen books, and adult medical books. There are hundreds of medical books written for doctors, or people pursing their medical degrees. There are also books written for people researching medical information.
One example of a children's medical book would be The Bernstein Bears Go To The Doctor. It talks about a check up at the doctor’s office, and makes going to the doctor easier for children. Sister Bear has to get a shot in the story, and she is very brave. This encourages children to be brave when they go to the doctor. Another book could be The Bernstein Bears Visit The Dentist. Sister Bear watches the dentist fill Brother Bear's cavity. Children can be very afraid to go to the doctor or dentist, reading these books can be encouraging.
A medical book for teens could be Am I Weird or Is This Normal? Advice and Info to Get Teens in the Know by Marlin S. Potash, and Laura Potash Fruitman. This helps teens find answers to question they may feel too uncomfortable to ask their parents or friends. It talks about puberty, your body, nutrition, your period and more. It is a book written by a mother and daughter who have been through these strange, weird, awkward conversations.
If you are studying in the medical field a medical dictionary would probably be good to have around. There are also medical family dictionaries that are good for new mothers. You can look up symptoms of your child before going to the actual doctor.
