Dealing with Anger

Anger is a natural feeling based on emotions.  We all get angry when situations arise that we don’t agree with or things are said by others that affect those emotions.  There are several different ways that anger can be controlled and it is up to each of us to determine which is best for ourselves.   This website www.fearinganger.com/2009/09/25/dealing-with-anger.html gives you several different ideas on how to deal with your anger.  Sometimes when we are angry we say or do things without thinking of the consequences.  Those consequences can cause lasting problems for us or others.  Reacting without thinking is foolish.

Bold Fresh Tour

n January 30, 2010 my husband and I went to see the live simulcast of the Bold Fresh Tour given by Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck.  It proved to be extremely entertaining.  Due to the weather in South Carolina, we actually saw the show that was presented in Tampa, Florida on Friday that had been taped.  Not seeing it live was a little bit of a downer especially after paying $25 per ticket.  There was a twenty minute intermission that could have been filled with highlights from either of their previous shows, but was not.   Enough about the bad points of the show.

If you know any thing about Glenn Beck or Bill O’Reilly you realize that they can both be very funny.   Their basic political beliefs are for small government, capitalism, rights of the people and the constitution.  Glenn Beck is an artist at detailing the expressions of Nancy Pelosi.  He was so funny that the audience was roaring with laughter.  His synopsis of the government and what is really going on within it is eye opening.  His daily show is really worth watching because it is so brutally honest.    Beck lets you know where he stands and why.  O’Reilly holds more of a center position.  His show gives both sides of a position and he normally doesn’t side with either.  He is very funny in the show and he and Beck work very well together.

I would recommend this show if you get a chance to see it, but seeing it live would be better than from the show.

Sarah Palin "Going Rogue"

“Going Rogue” is an inspiring book by a strong principled woman whose faith and courage should inspire all of us.  The beginning of the book is about her youth and how wonderful it was to grow up in the State of Alaska.   Her love of history and politics started in grade school and has remained her focus.  Her love of family, God and country are the foundation of her existence.

Her career in politics started in the PTA.  She ran for a seat on the City Council and continued upward to Mayor and Governor.  Along the way she encountered many obstacles which would have made a weaker individual walk away.  She was determined that she could make a difference for the State of Alaska and its people.  Many of her goals were accomplished but after running for Vice President the “political machine” decided it was time to destroy her.

The rumors and made up stories that were told about her and the family were enough to make a person quit, but the debt she personally has incurred is a crime.   She gave up a position she loved (and was good for the State of Alaska) because the consequences to that State and herself were out of control.

When you read this book you will be outraged by the unethical people in our government.  Please make better choices in November, 2010.

Motorcycle Helmets and Laws

Helmet use is mandatory in 20 states.  Each state makes its own laws concerning   There are three states that have no laws concerning motorcycles.  When traveling from one state to another it is your responsibility to know what the laws are of each state.  Rates of death without a helmet are 31% higher than those who wear a helmet.  This website http://www.todayscustomharleys.com/2009/07/03/motorcycle-helmets-and-laws.html gives you additional information about motorcycle helmets and where to find the laws for each state.  Motorcycle use has risen over the years and riders are no longer thought to be members of a gang.    Motorcycles riders have to be more aware of their surroundings due to inconsiderate drivers.
